d.lish by divine TONIGHT
SEATS STILL AVAILABLE
d.lish by divine is a monthly dinner event hosted by DiVine Events at the DiVine Cafe. We’ve created an intimate evening for a max of 30 people to explore culinary creations based on a monthly inspiration. During the first week of each month, we host a group based on the first 30 tickets purchased. Depending on the menu served, tickets range from $40 to $50 a person including two drink tickets. A cash bar is available for the remainder of the evening.
This month our inspiration is the Wine Country and the event will take place tonight, February 10, 2012 with the bar opening at 5:30PM and dinner served at 6:00PM. Please go to http://www.dlishbydivine21012.eventbrite.com to find out more information and purchase your tickets. Also don’t forget to like us on Facebook to keep up-to-date with d.lish by divine.

Don’t let this be you…hire DiVine Events!
Check out this article by the US Food Safety Blog. Don’t let unlicensed caterers ruin your event or worse, make your guests sick! Always remember that price is not the only consideration when hiring a caterer.
Catering Fail: What NOT to Serve
Planning a Vegas event can cause some headache, especially when it comes to choosing a caterer and a menu. You want to blow away your guests with an amazing time and that includes serving delicious food for everyone to enjoy. Here’s a list of foods you may want to leave off of your event menu to avoid any raised eyebrows or dining disasters.
Fatty & Fried Foods
I love some fried up goodness as much as the next person, but offering foods laden with trans-fats is a sure fire way to send your guests into a greasy food coma. People are growing more aware of what they put in their bodies and may feel bogged down by fattening menu options. Make sure to include some greens and lots of fresh items to encourage your guests to have mouth-watering options that won’t send them into a diabetic shock.
Let Them Eat Cake!
Desert, desert, desert! No bias here *ahem*, but the sweet treats at the end of the meal are definitely where it’s at! People remember deserts and it’s the most delicious way to wrap up a meal. Give your guests a few surprises at the end and include a few desert options including a chocolate dish, a non-chocolate desert, and some fruit to freshen up their pallets.
Variety Is the Spice of Life
Give your guests variety, but tame the spiciness level on your dishes. If you want things to get weird serve up some wickedly spicy noms, but be prepared to have an abundance of tissues ready for people to wipe up their runny noses. If decide to walk on the wild side and serve spicy food make sure your guests are made aware of the spice factor well before they consume their food.
Carnivores VS. Herbivores
Try to avoid serving vegetarian only dishes and to avoid subjecting any of your guests to the meat sweats (I swear it’s a real thing!) try to avoid only serving non-vegetarian friendly options too. There’s a happy medium between meat-opolis and veggie-licious that you should be able to find nicely and all of your guests will love you for it!
So now that you know what NOT to do you can start planning your delicious menu today! Start checking out the best caterers Las Vegas has to offer today. Whether you’re planning your wedding reception or you’re on the hunt for the most awesome corporate caterer Las Vegas can dish up you’re bound to find a great one and remember to follow these four lil’ tips to help avoid a dining bust!
