On May 5, 2024, Divine marked a significant milestone—our 19th anniversary in business! The journey has been filled with extraordinary highs and challenging lows, shaping us into who we are today.

Our History

The original company I purchased was primarily an employee event company with catering as a component. We owned tents, tables, chairs, linens, carnival games, and inflatables, requiring substantial space. Our main building housed the kitchen, with additional warehouses for everything else. In 2007, we expanded by acquiring a design company, Inventive Incentives, from Robin Johnson, adding beautiful props, backdrops, and décor to our offerings. My amazing daughter, Cassie, and now son-in-law, Sean, spearheaded this division, creating a floral design business to enhance our services.

From our purchase in May 2005 until early 2008, we quadrupled sales. The work was intense but rewarding, and we were on a profitable path. We expanded our catering services and, thanks to friends in gaming and other businesses, were poised to create beautiful events for our clients. We signed a lease for a 25,000-square-foot complex in July, consolidating all our businesses into one space. However, the 2008 recession hit us hard, slashing our business by 60%.

By 2010, we lost everything, leaving the 25,000-square-foot facility with just my purse, our catering software, and our clients. We started anew with a small office and warehouse, utilizing a kitchen in Planet Hollywood, where we catered for Tony and Tina's wedding show, and gradually rebuilding by purchasing necessities at auctions. In 2011, our new landlord constructed a catering kitchen for us, helping us survive and slowly rebuild.

In 2013, we won a bid to manage Springs Preserve’s restaurant and event business. Operating out of their kitchens and restaurants, we saw exponential growth from the exposure and steady business this contract provided. 2016 was our best year ever; and we were named a Leading Caterer of America. Our business flourished in 2017, 2018, and 2019. We opened a small venue in late 2019, just before COVID-19 struck. Despite the challenges, we stayed afloat with assistance and perseverance.

After eight successful years at Springs Preserve, we opted not to bid on a new contract. In October 2022, we moved into our beautiful new facility, bringing our team together in one place for the first time since 2010. This new space, designed from scratch with brand-new kitchen equipment, is the culmination of 19 years of dreams.

Our Team

Our company’s evolution owes much to our incredible past and present teams. Today, with approximately 85 employees, each member brings unique skills and shares our passion for creating exceptional experiences for our clients and their guests. We pride ourselves on our service, great food, and a dedicated sales and admin team. We strive for “reasonable hospitality” in all our endeavors, ensuring our clients and guests receive the best possible experience.

We are a preferred caterer at over 20 locations, and it is an honor to be part of their event teams. The future is bright, and we are excited about what lies ahead. Thank you to our team, venues, clients, and their guests for allowing us to be part of your special events!

We had a wonderful experience showcasing at the Wedding Industry Professionals Association's Q2 Marrakech Market. Our inventive culinary team embraced Morocco's colorful culture and produced specially made Moroccan-inspired dishes like eggplant rollatini, hummus cucumber bites, and Moroccan chicken patties. It was a pleasure to participate in this event and craft unique dishes outside our regular menu to match the Moroccan theme.


Sandra is a dedicated team leader at work, thrives on teamwork, and is always eager to make people smile and lend a helping hand. At home, she is a devoted mom and wife, known for her organizational skills and planning expertise. Sandra also mentors others, offering guidance and support. Among friends, she is the social butterfly, often planning gatherings and connecting with people. You can count on her to be the first on the dance floor, moving to any beat!

Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Sandra started her career with CCSD, working in various roles for five years. She then ventured into coaching, a role she has enjoyed on and off for five years. She joined Divine in May 2023 as a server and became a captain in April 2024.

I cannot believe we are nearing the end of May! We recently hosted a major event at Springs Preserve for one of our most significant clients. It was incredibly exciting. I loved seeing the team in execution mode, and now that we’re all in one place, experiencing it firsthand was amazing. I watched them work on the design for five food stations, and their work was beautiful. The kitchen was buzzing with activity as they prepared for the event, and everyone was happy, not stressed. We had over 55 employees taking care of our clients and their guests. This is what we excel at and what we live for—I love this business and this team!
